Jerusalem to be recognised as Capital of Israel

Yesterday in Victorian Parliament, Dr Rachel Carling-Jenkins spoke in support of the Australian Conservatives push to see Jerusalem recognised as the Capital of Israel. Last night saw the unveiling of a Hezbollah flag (a recognised terrorist group) at a protest against this move organised and promoted by hard left activist groups and the Islamic Council of Victoria. This is a concerning sign of things to come if we do not rise to halt the influence of the left to bring about a better way for Victoria.

The Australian Conservatives have called upon the Australian government to match US President Donald Trump’s move and to commence relocation of their Israeli embassy from Tel Aviv to that nation’s true capital, Jerusalem.

Dr Rachel quoted American President, Donald Trump: “This is a long overdue step to advance the peace process. And to work towards a lasting agreement. Israel is a sovereign nation with the right, like every other sovereign nation, to determine its own capital. Acknowledging this is a fact is a necessary condition for achieving peace”

During her statement, Dr Rachel Carling Jenkins commend Matthew Guy, the Leader of the Opposition, for; “his courageous stance against his federal party policy recognising that it was, and I quote Matthew Guy, ‘respectful to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital’.”

Dr Rachel urged the Victorian Parliament to support this move, saying; “I for one stand here today in solidarity with Israel and with the many people in Melbourne.”
