Partners and children of online sex fiends will have a peer support network to help overcome their relative's heinous crimes.
The Andrews Government will provide $350,000 for support organisation PartnerSPEAK to provide counselling and peer support to those whose partners or relatives committed online child sex crimes.
The announcement comes in the wake of Victorian Conservatives MLC, Dr Rachel Carling-Jenkins, telling parliament earlier this month about her painful experience.
Dr Jenkins told the Herald Sun since revealing her story she had been inundated by those with a similar experience. She said the problem was far more widespread and extra counselling services were greatly needed.
